We thank you, our residents and businesses, for your generous gifts and support throughout the year. It is because of your generosity that we are able to continue our efforts in creating a positive sense of community spirit while preserving and enhancing our beautiful Village.
We would like to share some of our accomplishments for 2011:
- Revised and updated the Village brochures and maps, developed a new Village scenery photo slide show that plays on a donated flat screen TV, and created a new photo gallery of our historic Village.
- Developed a new website that contains a complete list of shops, restaurants, businesses, and community organizations. Local organizations can now update their events and residents and visitors can download the Village brochure.
- Provided flowers in summer and greens in winter for 52 urns at business storefronts. Volunteer gardeners plant and maintain the urns, 3 downtown parks and 7 street garden bump-outs.
- Implemented two new events: First Thursdays Chagrin Falls – Stroll, Dine and Shop; and Yoga by the Falls (each class brought an average of 100 people into the village!)
- Our North Union Farmer’s Market was voted #1 in the state and #11 nationally!
- Organized two very popular, sold-out events: Wine by the Falls and Girls’ Night Out.
We ask for your financial support for both our celebrated Holiday Traditions/Holly Hall program and our 2012 projects and events. Your tax-deductible donation is an investment in the present and future of Chagrin Falls.
